Got in the wifee's 94' GT the other day and the windshield wipers were on from the day before and when I turned the switch off, they stayed on. I turned the switch ti high and it went on high. Turned it back to low and it went to low. Turned it to off and it still stayed on. W.T.F.??? So, I replaced the switch with a brand new Motorcraft assembly from Dallas Mustang, and it still does the same thing. Anyone ever had this happen to them? Could it be a short in the windshield wiper motor itself? Seems like it would quit working, not stay on! Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'd look at the wiper control module. The wiper controls on the multifunction switch input a variable resistance to the wiper control module. Maybe the module has failed?

Where is it located and what does it look like?

RESURECTED.

Anyone have this problem? My wipers stay on so I pulled the fuse. Turn signals and high beams work.

LOL, I'm thinking of a hillbilly switch that connects to the two fuse tabs.

FIXED.

The wiper control module, up underneath the driver footwell, behind the fuse box, cruise module, and yellow relay, was the problem.
