I'm doing finishing touches and need to order my e-brake cables, which are part numbers: FMS M-2809-A and FMS M-2810 A. I can't seem to find anywhere that sells them. Where do yah'll get em' from?
Thanks,
Bob

e-brake cables

What he said x10! You probably should snag the SN95 e-brake handle while you're at it (It's virtually the same as a Fox) assembly or at least the front cable that goes on the pulley. It's about an inch longer than the Fox cable. There's no need to modify the e-brake handle assembly at all.

There is way too much misinformation and confusion about this subject all over the interweb. It really is a simple, cheap and easy swap which works just as the engineers designed it.

You are wrong, I did it on my 1989 mustang. I have 2000 ebrake cables, stock 1989 ebrake handle assembly, and a home-made bracket since i forgot to get the bracket off the 2000 mustang while i was at the junk yard.

Thanks guys. I searched the PN's and found one site selling one of the cables, overpriced. Summit stopped stocking one of them too; it was listed N/A on their website. I didn't think they were something American Muscle would have so I didn't check, but I stand corrected! Thanks for the help. And, I can just drive to AM to get them

i have a 89 fox with stock ebrake handle and wondering if the 2000 gt cable where the right lenght. If so can i get those at the part store
yes they are, you just have to have the bracket that they attach to up inside the trans tunnel.

also it is a good idea to do the ebrake handle mod so that your self ratcheting mechanism doesnt cause your brakes to drag.

Contact LRS and even though I haven't used them in a looooong time you could also try Mustangs Unlimited, at least worth a phone call.

If you can however get them from Ford, lookup Touseley (sp?) Ford and ask for Steve, tell him you found him on SVTPerformance.com where you are a member, and he can get you pricing waaaaay below your local Ford Dealer. Used him for my FR500 catback, timing chain/tensioner/sprocket set, all my gaskets, etc. and excellent pricing and fast shipper.
