Where to buy cam locks and engine hoist brackets?

I am in the process of removing the motor out of my Cobra. I'm needing to locate the mounts you bolt onto the motor to attach the engine hoist, and the cam locks you place on the cams when you pull the heads off.

I tried my Ford dealer, but they have no idea where to look. They suggested a SnapOn truck. I saw the hoist brackets on eBay, but did't get them.

Besides the cam locks, what will i need to take the motor down to the short block?

Thanks

Last time I checked, the tools were available from OTC tools. They used to have an online catalog, but it sems they've taken it down. I would suggest emailing or calling them.

The URL is:

By the way, could you send me a PM if you do find out? I'll need some of those cam holders soon.

OK.

I got the FORD tools from the dealer, the part numbers are listed below. They are not cheap!

Engine Lifting Bracket: Right Rear - Ford P/N D93P-6001-A1
OTC P/N 303-D087

Left Front - Ford P/N D93P-6001-A2
OTC P/N 303-D088

Camshaft Positioning Tool - Ford P/N T93P-6526-A
OTC P/N 303-445

The engine lifting brackets should come with bolts (1/2-20-2).

Hope this info helps.

Well, All You really "need" Are Some Vise Grips for Cam Locks and the Alternator/Trans mounting holes for lifting.
Ive used this method many times and it works well :)

Good Luck :)

I e-mailed OTC earlier last week and they wanted me to fax them the request for quote with the part numbers for the pinion depth tools. They would only fax back the prices, would not quote by e-mail.
