Yea? This is a NY car, the defroster has to be on them.

A buddy of mine back in the day used to have an 88 GT with NO options besides AC. Manual mirrors, windows, no cruise, no rear defrost (actually looked cool without the lines), etc..

My question is who the heck ordered these strange-optioned cars lol

I know of a 91 GT that is forsale with no motor and trans. It has no sunroof, manual windows, Manual door locks, manual mirrors. No A/C. Its white with silver lower with burgundy interior. 5 speed.

DSBLK93GT, if the outside looks like the inside, you scored..

tony defoe's 87 LX had only ny manditory rear defrost.. no radio,ect..

i've seen a few strippers.. most were pre 87..

i looked at a loaded 93 lx hatch with no air...go figure.

The low option GT's seem to be more common on the 88 and older model years. I have yet to see an 89-93 GT hatch without options. I recently worked on an 88 GT convertible that had manual windows. Its funny, because of the convertibles you would only have front speakers if you didnt order power windows.
Heck, back in 95 I knew of a guy that special ordered a reef blue 5.0 notch with no options. Not even a radio and he had to fight the dealer to get it since there were special procedures they had to go through to delete the comfort and convience group and the a/c. I know the one book out there says that the sport seats were optional on the 5.0 LX models in 93, but his came with them. There supposedly wasnt a choice on a regular (non SSP) 5.0 car.

I have had at least 12 foxbodys..and this and my gray '88 LX coupe are the only that lacked cruise other than my SSP's. My '88 LX coupe had all options except cruise and power mirrors??? LOL

Yes, Ford Motosport 140 speedo. The stock 85mph sucks! LOL

I had a 87 GT convert, that had nothing put power mirrors, with am/fm cassett. No power windows, nor locks, and no A/C!

My first Mustang was a 79' Turbo notch and literally the only option it had was a heater and radio. No power anything, didn't even have a console (just a boot around the shifter and e-brake. No power brakes, no power sttering, no AC, and no power :)

Luckily I found a nice complete front half of a 85 GT at a junkyard and swapped the whole thing over when I blew up the Turbo 4. The car weighed in at 2600# with the V8 in there.

Optionless would be one without a/c. As I stated before, never seen a GT newer than 88 that came without it. Airbag was standard, not an option. There was no power fuel door release option on the 90-93 models. It was discontinued after the 89 model year. But the lack of power windorws, power locks and defroster and kind of unusual for a 93. I would be curious to see a pic of the door tag from that car as that shows some minor options.

There's a stripper LX on eBay right now that I'm drooling over. If I had space, I'd be seriously after it. This car needs to be stored and preserved as a future classic. No air, no PL/PW, no cruise... even looks like it has no rear defrost. Might have even been a radio delete car. Only for sure options I can see are the red striped body moldings and the 3.08 axle (although I think that was free in '88....?). Even the baby blue interior looks nice when it's that clean :)

I once looked at an '88 notch that was for sale that was truly a zero option car. Black with grey interior LX 5.0 with 5-speed. Unfortunately it was pretty doggy and rusty or I'd have bought it.

Showing my ignorance here, but why would a Mustang without any options be something special? Seems to me that it's a waste of a car. Many years ago when I was searching for mine I kept passing up GTs until I found one that was fully loaded, sans AOD. Had to be a GT, had to be a 5 speed, had to be two tone paint, had to be loaded. Even my 1983 Bronco was fully optioned with power locks, windows, rear defrost, AC, locking hood, underhood toolbox, underhood light with extension cord, etc. It didn't come with a stereo, but I picked one up a few months back. :)

I have seen MANY pre 87 GT's with no options. It was actually quite common to see the 83-86's without power windows and locks and a/c. It was however not common to see an 87-93 optioned like that. Like I stated in a previous post, after doing this for over 15 years I have yet to see an 89-93 GT that came without a/c or power windows and locks. For some reason they made quite a few 87-88's like that.

Yea, I have a pic with the turbines on it now and it looks good too. 93 Cobra rims would be nice too. I'm not modding it out. exhaust and gears..thats it...and the steeda shifter. I have all stock parts anyways.
