I am building a turbo coyote 1988 mustang and I want to go with a double or triple fore intank pump. Do you guys know what tanks will accept this hat and not require significant mods to the tire well. I looked at pictures of a few and it appears 99-04 tanks are similar. The on3 tank looks a bit different. Any help you have to offer would be great.

i think lot of those hats call for an 03-04 cobra fuel tank

i'm running this one from glenn's with my divisionX hat and everything fit great

Maybe this could work for a single intank pump but it depends on what fwhp you are trying to achieve. I would also say that you need to look at going to the SN95 hanger and running custom lines etc. as the general consensus is that the stock hanger and lines are not going to support much more than 500ish fwhp.

Install here:

Walbro 400 LPH intank pump instal in Fox Mustang | Ford Mustang Forums (corral.net)

But use this pump as it is the same size but 450 lph and is E85 compatible:

TIA485-2 450LPH Walbro E85 Racing Fuel Pump F90000267 (walbrofuelpumps.com)

I used that tank, a modified 99-04 filler neck , pressure valve and evap canister from a u pull it v6 tank. Ran the pressure valves to the charcoal canister like oe did tucked up in the rear to cut down on fuel vapor smell. Have a another tank here now for the next project.

Its a fox body it pretty much fits same as stock minus a little clearancing of the tire well for your fuel hat of choice and an fittings, then modifing the smaller 99 04 filler neck, one cut and some e85 rated hose if ya can't weld. Run what ever size ptfe line ya want and no one has a clue its there and you have a e85 system capable of supporting some decent power.. ....

Theres a few videos on youtube, the tanks pretty much a bolt in...

Okay. The tank being bolt in is what I was more curious about. Pretty nice mod for you guys making big hp.

I don’t and won’t have the hp levels to require more than the 255 lph pump that’s in the car now. Still running stock fuel lines and injector rails with an Aeroquip regulator and 42 lb/hr injectors. Motor made 459 fwhp on an engine dyno so I’m safe being that was on a carb setup and it’s injected now making 360ish rwhp.

K, if I may, I've got a question. I've got a lil different situation but it falls under this discussion. I'm working on a big block swap for my 90 LX, I've already replaced the pressure and return lines with -6 push lock hose. I'm gnna be making somewhere around 500-550 hsprs.. will the stock hat do that? If not where can I get something that will fit and do I need to increase the size of my pressure side? Gnna be carbed not FI...also should I step all the way up to a 255 lph pump or will a 190 lph be sufficient?
