I made an new descovery today. I was flipping through my new sport truck mag. and saw a Stillen ad that advertised KB blowers. So I called and asked if they had the new kit out for my 2000 GT. he said YES, he had one in stock with everything I needed to hook up. I start asking specs. and he says he doesn't know off hand but that it is only pullied for 5lb's. I'm going to call tomarrow and get some answers, has anyone else heard this?

This still doesn't explain why they say they have one. I can't afford it right now but I really want to see the numbers this thing puts down.

The kits are out there, but only in Ohio I think is where the company is. I have been told that they have to be installed by KB only and there are only a limited number of them out. Kind of trying to get the bugs out before an official release of the product, so I've been told.

What that knucklehead will make though, is a kit for the '03 Cobra in which he'll probably only sell about a dozen.
Try again. There are lots of 03Cobra owners swapping in the KB. There is probabaly a dozen or more on ModularFords alone. Not to mention that everyone on every 03forum are always itching to see new #s from the KB. Many are on the fence, as they are approaching 450-500rwhp with the Eaton, and aren't making much more power w/o adding N20. Our engine can handle it stock, and we're all wanting more power so why was it a dumb move? There are over 12,000 03s running around.

I'm going to go out on a limb and ask a question that is sure to get me flamed. Why is everyone waiting for the KB twin screw for their SOHC, when Saleen has a kit out now that looks superior to me. The KB supposedly will use the Autorotor 3150, while the Saleen uses the larger and more capable Whipple (Lysholm) 1600A. For around $4k (after your team Saleen membership), you get an intercooled kit with a reflashed computer. The Saleen kit as delivered is pretty conservative, but the upgrade path is certainly there. I have heard that it is now available for 2001 and earlier GTs as well.

Called KB today and was told the release has been pushed back to June 15th.

Yes that is true, but there are probably 150,000+ SOHC Mustangs out there and counting! :D

12 or 13 on so-and-so.com, and a few more on mefaster thanyou.com is not alot. Sure, there are going to be some die hard gearheads who will spend insane amounts of money and bolt on everything but the kitchen sink to go faster. But the truth is most '03 Cobra owners (think of the median age of a Cobra owner and why he purchases it) will not make a(another) blower purchase and with it piss away his/her warranty. And most of 12,000 doesn't leave many left.

JUNE 15 ??!! What the hell was this guy trying to sell me then! I new it was to good to be true. I know Saleen has a kit out but I'd rather have a KB. My dad has a Lightning and his kits for those trucks simply f'n rule... If this kit doesn't come out soon and prove itself I'll most likely go N/A all the way... and then add an ATI. I'm to impatient for parts I can't afford
