they arent yet. they are still being produced. but the new owners have little interest in producing blocks so hes told.
Dart came out with new blocks at pri this year. Idk how that looks like they won’t be making blocks anymore. It would be surprising if they quit producing them entirely.

The last numbers I heard were something like 914rwhp. The car is a Fairmont so I'm not sure if they are lighter than a Fox to begin with.
We’ve weighed my friends fairmont, and they’re lighter than the average mustang I see.

Any idea how long it took to get them from date of order? I'm looking at the Project X heads for a 347 in my Falcon.
I called ProMaxx a week or so ago to order a replacement valve for my 9175 heads (rocker arm came loose and dinged up the top of the valve stem) and they said the Project X SBF are in stock and ready to ship

Thanks... I'll probably call them this week!!

Been following Woody as I would love to have one of his builds and he has been getting blocks in small numbers from dart but he is way back ordered. I wonder if he has built anything with the Promaxx heads. I’m sure he has but I have not talked to him yet to get his opinion or to get on the build list…. I will be calling soon..

if you see my first post I said the new owners have little interest in making blocks. Im sure the demand for them has gone up a whole lot in the last 2 years so that works in their favor. I never said that they weren't going to made anymore. that's the other poster.

Dart could be sold again and its tools and machines could be parted out tommorow if the money is right. every business has a price if it's right. it happens everyday.

I read your first post, and your other one, and that was my response to it. Most would read “little interest in making blocks” as hinting that they aren’t going to make them. If a woman has “little interest” in ****ing you, that probably means she isn’t going to lol.

If dart had 100 sbf blocks in stock today, they would probably all be sold by the end of the week. So I’m kind of skeptical that they don’t have interest in producing blocks. Of course dart could be sold, but the chances of a successful, well established company like dart being sold off and gutted isn’t really something I’d be concerned about.

I’d love to know who the engine builder talked to.

I realize that but that doesn't mean that they weigh the same.
I figured, there is a wide range of weights based on options, but the fairmonts do tend to be pretty light.

We weighed a 4 door with all the interior, except it had a sheet metal dash. Car also had subframe connectors and turbo 5.3 with th400. It was under 2700lbs without driver.

That is the way I understood it. Maybe I took it wrong. Im seeing him today and ill get more info. if i misunderstood, ill delete my posts.
if dart had 100 blocks in stock they'd be gone in a couple hours. summit, jegs, multiple builders are on back order 6-12 months. Builders with the financial resources saw the writing on the wall and bought evey dart block they could. Summit or Jegs could care less as aftermarket blocks aren't really their bread and butter.

Maybe someone else started a thread on this. Done with posting on this guy's happiness lol

Since this was about promaxx heads.. congrats on having a girlfriend that understands your hobby and chooses support it rather than compete with it.

I plan on putting Promaxx Project X heads on this sub 2700# Falcon Sprint.

He is wrong. They are interested in selling LOTS of blocks, when they can get the foundry issues resolved. This is just comical- somebody invests millions in a business, just to shut it down and lose their money. LMAO
Whether is is the case with Dart or not, you are completely wrong that is doesn't happen in the business world. Some people's job's are to do this exact thing by dismantling companies worth millions.
