I've yet to read a bad review or bad experience with the ProMAXX heads.

promaxx are probably the best bang for the buck when it comes to cylinder heads.

anyway the almighty B303 doesn't care what head you run.

Good luck finding an shp block. I was just told by my engine builder that dart was sold twice over and it looks like the new company who owns them could care less about making blocks. Right now they are just fulfilling orders and don't want to lose the money.

Your engine builder is wrong. They do have supply issues but they are NOT out of the block business.

I also have yet to hear a bad thing about them from anyone that ACTUALLY owns them. Mark pointed me their way and I just got myself a set of the 180cc Maxx (9175) heads. Interested to see how they are and compare them to a set of AFR heads I have.
Should pair nicely to a cam I ordered from Ed for them as well...

 

Lucky man. I got a Dragy and a blaupunkt retro stereo from mine. Girls who understand are few and far between. Though I did get her long tubes for her C6 so I guess I understand too lol.

 

The first stock block 302 to run 4's, uses Promaxx Shockers. His name is Mark Miller.

 

I looked that up.. running 8s with a stock 302 block is a weird flex. But good for him... faster than my Dart block car.

I do wonder how many thousands of passes it can handle

 

I believe his engine is in the 900hp range. The block is half filled. He runs big boost.

 

Any idea how long it took to get them from date of order? I'm looking at the Project X heads for a 347 in my Falcon.

 

I have the MAXX series and I'm curious why they came out with the Project X heads? Mid lift flow is a bit better with the Project X heads but I don't see any significant improvements.

Been following Woody as I would love to have one of his builds and he has been getting blocks in small numbers from dart but he is way back ordered. I wonder if he has built anything with the Promaxx heads. I’m sure he has but I have not talked to him yet to get his opinion or to get on the build list…. I will be calling soon..

 

Since this was about promaxx heads.. congrats on having a girlfriend that understands your hobby and chooses support it rather than compete with it.

I plan on putting Promaxx Project X heads on this sub 2700# Falcon Sprint.

 

Sounds like you have a keeper. My wife has always been awesome with this type of stuff and never complains about it. She also helps buy stuff for my cars/racing. I just told her last week, "hey I have a present Id really like but its pretty expensive". I showed her a plasma cutter Ive been wanting and the price and she said "oh usually when you say expensive its going to be thousands, when should I order it?". Love her to death!
