Can this be done and what are the drawbacks? I tried a search but everything else is about older spindles. Also I can't find sn95brakes.com. Link dead? Thanks.

correct, there is no carry over from the Fox platform in the S197 cars. I would say there is a 99.99999998% chance that it would not work. The control arms are different, pick-points are changed, steering rack placement, strut attachment points are all changed.

yea i may reconsider lol i am 99.9% also..

i just put some lowering springs on my friends 07 gt. and the front suspension is completly differnet. no coils in the a arms with struts. its a coil over strut type design.

yea i agree man. my buddy asked me to put H&R drop springs on his and i thought shoot i can do that in 45 mins. forgetting its not a fox chassis car. you are right nothing looks the same. not even the rear suspension with that goofy 3 link.

S195 spindles will not work in a fox unless you do the following:
1. Replace the lower ball joints with S197 ball joints.
2. Replace your struts with S197 struts
2.a - you need to replace you caster part of your caster/camber plates. this will need to be custom made (I have a template if you need it just PM me)
3. You will need hubs off a S197 or you will need to rebuild you sn95 spindles with the correct bearings to fit the S197 hubs.
1-3 I know for sure because I've check the fit of the parts myself. I have added S197 FR500C struts to my fox mustang with custom made SN95 spindles. but it was cheaper than doing the updates listed above, and it took me about 3 weeks to get the castor/camber angles right (ajustable between .5-3.5 deg of caber).
I'm not sure if the brakes bolt right up or not, I haven't checked that since I run a custom brake setup, my guess would be that you'd need S197 rotors and calipers w/ brackets also but I'm not sure on this part.
