I know there are on there for a reason but do alot of people remove them and leave them off? If so does it hurt performance. If I can't remove them, I have to replace them. Anyone know the best place to pick up a set at a good price.?

autozone is a good place ,most people remove them because of tire size and weight. Mine are off and im gonna put mine back on it helps the tire from bouncing during ur launches and burn outs.

Just watch any stang take off and you'll see how bad the car sits back to the right rear. Thats the main reason why we have quad shocks, I have my stock quads on with 9" rear tires and 3" tips. there is room you'll just have to adjust and readjust until you get it right. I have see some people replace them with adjustable arms, but i don't know it there really a replacement part.

It says that part # is for a steering damper?
Yes, it's mis-labeled. Trust me, it's the quad shock, I've bought and used several sets of them, they're the direct factory replacement down to the dust cover nobody else puts on them.

What do they charge for the stock ones? I was just curious if there are some better performance ones out there?
You can get Koni ones, but for all these things do and for how much the Koni's cost you'd be more than halfway to a quality set of LCA's.
