Oil on my spark plugs??

Im doing a tune up and find 4 of the plugs have oil around the plug, right above the threads. I have pics of all the plugs, but last time I tried to post pics, they needed to be resized and I don't know how.
But, if someone could shed some light on this for me, I would appreciate it.
I can email the pics if need to.
Thanks,

Are your valve cover gaskets leaking? Or you could have an internal oil control issue.

The first thing to check for, as Pinellas has pointed out, is for a valve cover leak. If it's not that, then it's either cylinder head or piston ring related. The piston ring issue is likely the oil control ring having lost tension and the head issue can be either leaky valve seals or worn valveguides. If it's not burning an excessive amount of oil or contaminating it too fast, it's likely negligible. It does kind of suck, though. :crying:

There was 3 oiled plugs in the passenger head and 1 in the drivers side.
I was thinking guides or seals because I just put these used gt40 heads on 6 months ago.
Thanks,
Sounds like a classic case of failed valve guides. What were the conditions of the heads when you put them on?Were they used or new?

Its not a hard fix just a PITA and somewhat time consuming but not hard.

They were used. but in good shape with 200 miles from the machine shop.
Well, I knew it wasn't a good thing, and I guess that's part of buying used ****.
If you could send me a link on valve guides or something, I'd really appreciate it. Also, im not sure how bad it is, but is it ok to drive around like this?
The car isn't making noticable smoke, just barely on start up.
Thanks,
