Does anyone have a diagram of the neutral switch & clutch pedal switch? Where do they meet & what pin is it at the EECIV?

Thanks
Blackout

Sorry to bring up this old post...

I did the t-5 to AOD swap,

There is a connecter extension, pull it off, plug in the harness that's on the tranny well the the N.S.S., plug in the speedo + vehicle speed sensor and you're set

The connecter with the extension is for the neutral safety switch. The arrow in your picture is the N.S.S.

Basically plug it in and you're set.

In the picture I posted, the extension is on that tranny already. Do you see it? I have that on mine as well and it is plugged in to the harness in my tranny tunnel. I don't think it solved my problem, but tmoss is helping me bypass all of that stuff by splicing into that connector underneath the dash. We'll see what happens.

Wow, so much confusion. I uploaded the diagrams for both the T5 and Auto start circuits to my gallery - just click on the link under my avatar. Ford put a jumper in the clutch interlock connector under the dash for autos. If Juan does that, his car should start.

Talk about digging up an old post... I am trying to figure out how this switch mounts to the pedal assembly after my aod to t-5 swap. I got the assembly from V8only (thanks again!) but the shop took the switch off for some reason, and I am trying to put it back on with the pedals in the car but I don't know if it just bolts right on, rivets on or if there is some wacky cotterpin or clamp or something that holds it to the pedal assembly. It looks like the white lever hooks on to a little nub, but I can't see how else it goes on. Do I even need this damn thing anyway- can't I just make sure the car is not in gear when I start it?

Jeremy- got any of these assemblies lying around? If so could you take a look at one for me?

If anyone knows about this, any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

I don't have any more pedal assemblies laying around. I may be able to take a pic of my assembly for you tomorrow though. If I don't post back, reply for a reminder

I just didn't like the AOD. Extreme loss of power, lousy shift points. Made my car a complete slug.

Scott, I don't have a safety interlock switch anymore, I just jumpered the connection so it is always complete. If you had an AOD originally, the connection will be complete already. You do not need to hook it up, but like you said, make sure you keep the habit of pressing in the clutch when you start the car. I have already driven the car forward two times on accident. :)

Yeah, I'm starting to think I won't even hook the damn thing up anyway. I'm not gonna pull my hair out looking for the little bolt/screw/rivet or whatever the hell holds the thing on. As long as I push the clutch in on start up, I'm assuming I'll be ok, right?

Now to confuse everyone even more, it looks like the shop disconnected the cruise control doo hickey as well- will the car rev now when I shift? The car has cruise, but it has not worked since i bought the car in 2001.

Man I need a beer.

Tom would it be possible to email me that pic? If so, my email address is:

Thanks. By the way, there are some great photos of this assembly on the Fordmuscle web site, but they are very small and when I print them out on my color printer I still can barely see the detail.
