anybody shelled out the dough for these? i cant find anyone who has them

i know they make tons of power with ported PI heads BUT i like knowing that the set of heads i put on is the best i could get

I know the Foxlake TFS ported are suppose to be pretty good. I only have the out of the box TFS head, and think they only flow a few less than the Foxlake TFS ported heads. I should know more in about a month once all mine get's put together.

yeah ported trickflows arent needed with boost anyway...plus when they port them you really dont pick up enough cfm for the extra 6-700 bucks...thats why trickflow never came out with the ported version they said it wasnt worth it with the minimal gains..therefore if the people that make the heads says its not worth it then i would listen to them lol

TFS heads come stock at only 0.1" thick in the important areas of the port walls so you can't really do much without weaking the casting or finding water. The most I ever got was a 15CFM gain and half of that was from a different style valve job. I saw an independent test of the Foxlake and theirs was 9CFM gain so we were in the same ball park. I have seen a high end shop plug the holes they made in the thin intake walls with epoxy (I ain't got the cahonas to hand a set of heads with that stuff to a customer). Personally I don't port them anymore.

ive been wanting these ever since i saw MMR has them .. they clame 100 whp over stock pi's but i havnt saw 1 person who has them or any dyno sheet proof anywhere...now the question is ported PI's or stock casting trickflow?? i cant find anyone with any big turbo or s/c builds with these heads either

I pretty sure the Trick flow are not "stock casting." They are a new casting with the valves in differant spot vs the stock casting

stock casting TFS heads... are just that. Stock TFS heads. You are mistakenly thinking stock casting only refers to Ford heads.

I just wish TFS would put a real valvetrain in them. For that money they should come with bronze guides and all that... not stock style powdered metal.
Springs leave a little to be desired as well.

It is also cheaper buying the street heads heads, and the upgraded springs, and installing them yourself, than it is to purchase the Track heat version. Given great rocker geometry with the OHC design, the powdered metal guides should last quite a long time, even on high HP FI applications. One of the reasons they stuck with them, instead of going with bronze during the R+D/debug phase. There's alot less side load compared to a OHV setup.

Although we have many requests for bronze guides the Stock guides are just fine for most applications, we even use the factory guides on our 2200HP racecar! Bronze does have some qualities that are preffered (lower friction) but unless the factory guides are shot there is no need to do them in our proffesional opinion.

As far as the Ported MMR TFS heads go they are nice! Some parts of the head are thin and we avoid these areas, we have cut open 2 complete sets thus far to make sure core shift is not a problem and thus far they have been very stable which has given us repeatable flow #s. We have sold quite a few of these and are working on a new 2V project that should be the first 2V in the 7's using the MMR stage 3 heads (same car that currently holds the Mustang record using MMR ported PI heads with a 8.60 ET)

too much cyl head for such a basic combo... but what are the intentions for the car?

You'd have the rev the piss out of them. I have Trick Flow heads on my supercharged setup and I still have to rev way up there to make power.

what about the ones done by jon kasse?? there's a set for sale im wondering if i should pick them up instead of my stage 3 livernois pi's........but again wondering if they will be too much head for me for now then what cam???(probably mhs cam)........V3 aftercooled , 8 rib ,smallest pulley , 10%overdrive crank, return style fuel system,9.1-1 forged shortblock..................any input would be great!!
