Is the New Edge starting to become a classic?

Was only a matter of time with the way fox body pricing is going. A rising tide lifts all boats is the expression i believe.

A few years ago, a clean driver new edge GT was $4500 or so. I remember saying i should pick one up at that price. I waited, and now drivers are $7-9K and clean examples are reaching into the high teens.

I miss my 2003 GT quite a bit.

Sold it back in 2009 for $7500 with 75k miles and in 9.5 out of 10 condition and that was a struggle to get that.

In looking for a similar condition GT I’m seeing them
Well into the high teens

Nah not classics. Just stupid pricing. They’re asking $12,500 for this turd pile. I guess technically it’s a classic based on its age though.
Check out a 1995 Eagle Talon TSi Turbo AWD - $12,000 on CarGurus at CarGurus - 1995 Eagle Talon TSi Turbo AWD - $12,000

I was just thinking the other day "When was the last time i saw a DSM on the road?"

Really though, they have all disappeared. I haven't seen one in years. Back in the early 2000's when i was big into racing and such, seemed like a lot of folks had a quick Eagle or Eclipse GSX or even a 3000GT TT/Dodge stealth.

I really wanted a red Stealth back in the late 90's.

Holy hell

Looks like everything from the 80's and 90's that was cool is rising. Not just Fox/Sn95's

Isn't that way under priced?

I think they had it at $28k and it’s been sitting. Gradual price cuts.

I think the 99-04 S281s grab a few more bucks. The 96-98s seem to not get as much love but I love the lines on them.

thinking hard on this one.

I'd question that car. Front bumper cover does not match the fenders or hood. Color is off. Nothing else in the pictures looks off besides that front cover.

Gonna check it out next week but I’ll look closely at that. Thanks

Shows you how subjective this really is. I've always had a thing for the lines of a 96-98 GT/Cobra.

I wouldn't mind Coyote/Terminator swapping one.

Meh. I don't know really. Maybe one day I'll add a sn95. I like the 96-98 cobras.
I was in HS when the 96-98 Cobras were new. My senior year, there was a Chrome Yellow 98 cobra vert in the local dealer's Showroom and I just had dreams of cruising around in that. So for me, that was my dream car as an 18-year old.

Ever since then, i've always had a thing for them. The hood, the fog lamps, the unique, 1-year only 98 Cobra rims and how the big brakes looked when the car was driving. They sounded incredible. I'm a big pushrod 302 fan, but it doesn't compare to the sound of a 4V 4.6L. Even the Coyote's today sound like crap compared to the older 4V.

I'm starting to get the itch for one, just like many folks who previously got the itch for a Foxbody. I already have a modded Fox, so that itch is out of my system. I have no desire to modify cars anymore beyond my '88. I would love to pick up a clean Chrome Yellow '98 Cobra vert, and sadly, i think I would pay real money for one too.

I'll be 41 in 2 weeks. Ugh.

I've had my '88 since High School (1997ish), so after 24 years or so, I've owned the same Fox for more than half my life. I wouldn't mind trying out something new.

I won't sell the car, which is why I'd like a bone stock cruiser. Maybe a 96-98 Cobra vert, or some sort of Saleen convertible. I don't care how slow it is, as i'm looking for something to take the kiddos out for Ice cream in.

Clean SN95s are creeping up in price. I guess when you consider the rise in pricing, along with the desire to cruise like an old fart...then I guess they have become classics.
