If you are going to bypass accessories to pick up some HP from eliminating parasitic loss, you will pick up a LOT of HP and TORQUE if you get a short belt that will drive only the alternator (bypass power steering, A/C, smog) at the track. I don't remember the size, but I went to Auto Zon (or Advance, etc.) and tried belts in the parking lot until I got the right one. Here is what I did in the parking lot.....take off the stock belt and let the tensioner relax completely down. pull out the top bolt in the alternator and just loosen the bottom one so the alternator will pivot. Push the alternator all the way toward the drivers side until it hits the bracket. Go inside and keep trying belts until you get one that BARELY fits on the crank pulley and the alternator (it's also going to drive the water pump too). Now pull the alternator back toward the passenger side fender to tighten the belt. You may have enough belt tension by installing the top bolt back in the stock hole. If not, keep pulling the alternator toward the passenger fender (may need to use a pry bar of some kind) until the top hole in the alternator is past the bracket. Now istall the stock bolt and nut so that the bolt rests on the outside of the bracket. This will hold just fine for either track or daily driving. Once you do this the first time, you will be able to swap your short belt and your stock belt in well under 5 minutes. If you don't already have one, I would recommend getting a stock 94-95 electric fan (same fan on the 5.0 GT and the 3.8)
