Looks pretty healthy to me. Congrats!!! That car should haul on nitrous at the track. Yeehaa!!!

In regards to a Box R intake; my buddy runs one on his 363 and loves it. He made 411rwhp on the dyno on a hot Phoenix day.

His combo is:
363
10:1
1.6 rr's
Trick Flow Stage 3 cam
Edelbrock Victor Jr heads straight out of the box
Box R intake straight out of the box
75mm MAF
Stock intake tubing and airbox
75mm TB
1-5/8" shorties
2.5 full exhaust
Not sure if it's an X or H pipe. He runs Mac mufflers.

I think he's leaving power on the table with the smallish MAF and TB, small diameter intake tubing, short air filter, shorty headers and chambered mufflers.

So I'm thinking if you went with a more aggressive cam, tweaked exhaust and the Box R; you'd definitely see gains.
Hey fast,

If I mimic'd this combo and had a custom cam, 190-205 cc heads, 70 tb (have), 80 maf, and likely a ported SM2 intake, 1 5/8 LT ( have), what power do you think I'll likely make compared to this cause it mostly looks similiar?

I'm actually in the process of a 331 build but my builder is having a hard time finding a good stock block that will past sonic testing and is on 4th one so far from core plants. Our fingers are crossed that this one will be good. The car will be just a nice weekend streetcar, no track. Lately I have been thinking about doign a 363 instead but had parts since Feb and don't want to have to worry about trying to send parts back and restocking fees and such so if I could use what I have I might proceed with a 363 if he hasn't found a good block by at least end of this year.

systemax 2 would be a great test for me to run. Personally I think it would be a great choice to fit under the hood.
yes would've been nice to see what a sm2 and ported one would do with and without porting. I've heard a healthy 363 would need a ported one.

Keep us posted.. very excited to see the results..I myself am waiting on my 363 afr205/ported holly systemax/custom cam to finish but dart shp’s are back ordered…love seeing combos close to mine..
did you ever get yours done, dynoed? Thinking about a similiar combo.....

We did just the lower on a 347 with no other changes and track data showed a consistent 16HP gain. He never dyno'd it for the numbers, just tack data which I trust more. A 363 should see more than that and even more if the upper was done as well.

@tmoss what do you think as to my question here?

gotcha. I just tagged you in post #373. Let me know what you think about me mimicing that combo somewhat and potential numbers....

@tmoss sorry I messed up the one I wanted you to respond to I think.
