I am stuck on deciding on one of the two sets of springs and am wondering who likes their Prokit and Supersports along with who wishes they had purchased something different. They are both the same price at Maximum Motorsports and I want to order a set of one of the two, but cannot decide on which. Help! For clearance reason too, I plan on puttin 18 inch 03 Cobras on the back in the future. Will the rear be "to jacked up" for 18's with the H&R's? Any pictures of the prokit and supersports on your cars would be greatly appreciated as well as any input on the two.
Thanks

Subscribing....

I am in the exact same boat you are. I am in the air about both of these. The Eibach prokit is a little cheaper. And the spring rates are esentially stock. So i'm thinking the Prokit will be better for the dragstrip, and that the H&R supersports will be better suited to corner carving/autocross. The H&R's i also believe will be a bit rougher on the street...but hopefully the Tokico adjustables will take care of that. As far as stance goes, i believe the H&R's sit a tad lower then the prokit. Not quite the slammed look, but i think the H&R's make everything tucked quite nicely.

And just for a heads up, the cheapest place i can find the H&R's is at SpeedWorx: SpeedWorx
The cheapest place for Eibachs Prokit is Houston Performance: Houston Performance

Any Pics or insight from other folks would be cool...

wow... apples to oranges.

Prokit = not a big drop, mild spring rates, great ride and comfort. The car will feel a little more nimble.

H&R = huge drop, aggressive spring rates, they'll rattle your teeth lose. However the car will feel like it's on rails.

Thanks for the references.

I think I am about to go wtih the Supersports because I want the lower look and was unaware of the I guess subtle drop the prokit provides. I have read a few times the prokit begins to sag after time and a stiffer suspension setup with less drop in the back compared to the front sounds very appealing because I really want to minimize body roll and with the "dragged out" look the H&R's provide. I do make the car squat often at the track and on the street. Thanks for the input fellas.

Not trying to hijack or anything but...
Just how rattly are we talking about...realistically? My two year old son has to ride in this car occasionally, and im not looking to jar his butt loose or anything, lol. Just need to know if with tokico illuminas I may be able to make this car liveable?

I have the prokit and the tokico illumina 5way adj. It's a harsher ride than stock and even on the softest settings. Nice 1.5 drop all around. I want something that has a 1.5 drop, rides comfortably on the street, and has an excellent weight transfer that allows you to cut nice 60 ft times.

I think the correct term for what I want is coil overs!

If you want the prokit go with the FMS F springs. The F springs are a prokit in a Ford box. I know this because i got some this weekend. It says ford on the outside but when you open the box it says thank you for buying our prokit. Its also cheaper.

Looking at the H&R product list, the Sport version really doesn't lower it much less than the Supersport version and the rates are a little lower. Does this mean the ride wouldn't be so bone jarring but you would still get a decent drop?

I don't think I've riden in a car with SuperSports, but I have Sports with Koni Yellows (currently on full soft). The ride is very acceptable and the drop is decent. Sorry, no pictures and I forgot to measure before and after. It doesn't look as good as SSHEL-B's drop though. :) That overall car looks great, the middle picture especially.

SSHEL-B Beautiful car man. I like that drop...the more i think about it the H&R's might be the best choice, they are roughly the same price, and H&R makes some worldclass stuff. All my ///M3 friends are pushing for the Supersports.

You running wheel spacers SSHEL-B?

SSHEL-B's drop does look awesome. Thanks for the pictures! I'd go with the prokit and am inclined to do so, but like most of you said, the drop isnt as noticable and is very subtle. Philip, I'm went ahead and ordered the supersports on Saturday along with the MM CC plates. I'm glad I did after seeing these new photos!
BTW SSHEL-B, how is the ride; bone jarring stiff, or somewhat soft or really soft? Bone jarring stiff is fine with me but just want to know what to expect. Thanks everyone

Thanks SSHEL-B for the info.

Hey DOHC Rocket where did you end up ordering from? I saw at the link i gave you they charge ALOT for shipping. Just wondering where you ended up buying them. Also what are you doing for Shocks/struts?

Hey Phil, I ordered the SuperSports from MaximumMotorsports.com as well as the caster camber plates from there. I figured I'll just pay for one large sum shipping fee rather than two from different sites. Are you going with the SuperSports as well?

It's a pretty good ride. Not too stiff and not too soft.

H&R Supersports, Bilstein struts/shocks.. ride is a tad rough on the freeway sometimes but around town its not bad. Plus taking turns at 40 makes up for any probs. :)
