This is an old, old problem. I had Trick Flow heads and intake manifolds with TF/Aeromotive fuel rails and was having the same interference with two different distributors.

I ended up, about three years ago, working with a TF tech that had not realized this was a problem. He did an internet search, agreed that it was a problem and then mocked up a Ford 302 engine in their shop and yes they had the problem too. Bottom line, they had no solution. At this late date, they were not going to re-engineer their set up.

My solution was to have the fuel rail cut at an angle and welded to clear the distributor. I just had my first start up and everything is fine.

I recommend you slot those mounts to allow the fuel rail to go down fully onto those injectors. When I was pressuring my system and got up to about 60 psi for testing the fuel rails, the passenger side began leaking. Took things apart and found that the mounts would not allow the rail to fully seat down onto the injectors. I removed the metal mounts and slotted them about a 1/4" more to allow the rail to fully seat down onto the injectors. I did the same to the drivers side, even though they had not leaked. It did allow the rail to seat lower on that side too. I ended up pressuring the system to just over 80 psi with no leaks. Aeromotive recommends pressuring to at least twice your running pressure which in this case was 40 psi running pressure.

Looks like Glenn's is out of stock of those fuel rails. Maybe they just don't have the demand anymore.
