Mini tubs and narrowed rears definitely helped make those look so badass...but here's mine with 17x4.5 and 15x10. Massaged inner fenders and rolled lips.

whats the rear width and backspace you were running on there ? assuming those are 275/60 mickeys ?

If I'm not mistaken it was a 15x10 with a 6.5" bs and a 275/60 with some massaging...those wheels look great in that size and offset...

 

Yea they do!..I want a wheel and tire combo for my rear like that I'm thinking either rodlites or magnums, and for sure want that 17 inch front skinny with big brakes. .. looks awsome

Actually those were 15x9 rt weldstars with a 5.5 bs. They stuck out at first but on one side more than the other then i centered the diff, looked much better. The ideal bs would be a 6" bs which is what im going with in a v series style and a 17" skinny. I'm going to have the barrel powdercoated black. Then later add the mac-fab beadlocks. Heres a pic of my new skinny, I'll post pics once I have it all mounted.

What is that tire size? Also how much massaging was needed?
So that wheel with a 6" offset would fit even better your saying?

The 15x9 with a 6" is the better fit. 15x10 6.5 bs. If you are running a 275/60 it will need some massaging on the inside and possibly the fender. With my 9" 5.5 i had to roll the fender so it won't rub on bumps.

Ahh you have a 9 inch in that car. .I want your look with my 8.8 and possibly weld magnums or rodlites. I'm going to have to think it'll be something like 15 10 6.5 back space then?

Thanks!! I used drive on the street with similar wheels for yrs but since i switched to a mickey pro, I have pony r wheels to drive around. No issues with the drag wheels on the street.

I'm in love with the 17 skinny look up front. I think I know what I like the best after much thought 17x4.5,15x10 billet specialities polished. I'm going to have to look for them used though so I don't have much faith that I will find them soon but we'll see! Once it happens will have pics too!

anyone else running a setup like this? working out the bugs for my new setup.... and I like the look of the 17 skinny in front.... and could use the sidewall of the 15 in the rear.

 

i will be as soon as i get over the fact that a 17" skinny is 3x the price of a 15" skinny. i dont want to pay $450 for like $20 worth of aluminum and an hours machine work. lol.

the unfortunate truth is that with big brakes in the front, there really isn't much of an alternative.
