anyone else running a setup like this? working out the bugs for my new setup.... and I like the look of the 17 skinny in front.... and could use the sidewall of the 15 in the rear.

seems like big brakes and skinnies is a problem anyhow... too much brake for that small of a contact patch would have braking problems at the track.....

but, to make it work you need 17's or to ditch the big brakes.... although I like the look.

SVE has 17x4.5 skinnies for under 200 each... but I don't know the weight or quality of them... I doubt they are as nice as the welds... but he welds are 600 each.

I have a full big disc brake conversion, with a brake balancer that lets me shift braking from front to rear. if i have skinnies on i just balance the brakes more rearward
im assuming you mean an adjustable proportioning valve. Ya? all that does is limit the amount of fluid transferred to a certain circuit that it is applied to, most people put it on the rear to limit the rear braking. So you just open it up more? and leave the front the way they are? or do you have a adjustable proportioning on the front too? where you can turn down the front and open up the rear, or vise versa when not running the skinnies?

or am I overthinking this....

When i had the drums in the rear and the big brakes up front, in had no problem stoping til abt 157mph lol
Then I added a cage, chute, and baer dual caliper rears which now I use to stop more than the fronts.
that's about what I figured....

the new car, new setup should run 150 to 165ish depending on what I actually end up putting in the car.... but I think to stop from that speed it may become an issue with 13in front brakes and skinnies.

Been stopping mine at 157mph with 13" bear's in the front and 17" skinnies. When I started getting into the 150s, I upgraded to baer dual caliper rears for staging which also helped braking the car. At this point the rear brakes are the ones doing all the stopping over the fronts. Plus a chute also helps with that issue. Which after 145mph is needed.
your car looks fast just sitting there. hahaha

are the rears 15x9 with 6.0 still? with a 275/60?

there are enough people running it, that I am less concerned now.... so, I was planning on mini tubbing it like my daily driver is.... but it look like you carry enough tire... I may just do that to get started.... I can always go back and cut the wheel houses out.
