I got only one month from mine. This was on a high 13 second Stock Cobra with Street tires. When I first put the arms on they worked great. No wheelhop. a month later wheelhop returned and was worse than ever. My bushings looked like I shot them with a 12 gauge. Just check them and make your own decision, every car is different and as far as tolerence on x2c arms goes it appears like every X2C arms is different too!

Most bushings are junk on control arms. I don't know where some of these companies are getting their bushings from but the last arms I tried, I returned them and told the guy at Summit that the urathane was little better than crumpled up newspaper. It is quite obvious that a very small percentage of companies actually test their products. Oh sure, they may bold on and actually allow the car to operate but there is no longevity in some of this stuff. The last arms I tried, the bushings lasted all of a couple hours before they deformed to the point where they were worthless and dangerous. (2 sets of them) Many people probably are mislead by the fact that their arms bolt on and work. A little advice I have is, take them back off and inspect the bushing, be they urathane or spherical. There's a good chance that you won't be happy with the state the bushings are in. You can have the best arms in the world, but bushings of poor quality will make them worthless.

DISCLAIMER: This does not apply to the few companies who make a quality product or the odd (read: rare) companies that make a budget control who's bushings don't go all to he!!.

you guys dont make me break out a pic of my Metco's...LOL

slow86 what do the bushing look like on the metcos? They appear to be totally different in design compared to anything else. From the photos it looks like there is a large aluminum sleeve which is surrounded by a thin urathane bushing. Am I correct on this? What is the quality of the urathane and associated hardware? Are they noisy at all as far as creeking and crunching sounds common with most urathane bushing?
I've always wondered about them but have never seen them in person or any good up close photos.

How the heck do you post a pic anyways,Ive got a pick of them, their not on the car yet,Ill try to email you it

well,tried,cant do that

We would like to get the obvious out of the way and begin by saying the control arms pictured above were NOT MADE by X2C Motorsports, the first 50 released were, but the demand became too high for our in house builders to keep up. We decided to try an outside source who will not yet be named for legal reasons. This company builds suspension for many other well known companies and was hired to build and quality control each part as they were made. The part pictured is not representative of our own quality or parts and this company has since been released. X2C Motorsports LLC is embarassed by the quality of the part pictured and so have taken many steps because of this. First we would like to say that the unit pictured is a very poor sample of this batch and we have had no failures of these arms and that they have been well tested and are safer than a stock component and perform very well. The quality however is our main issue. As with X2C Motorsports usual commitment to customer service anyone that has purchased these arms and are unhappy with the quality of their arm can contact us and we will take care of them. Although a very poor comparison ( a $260 lower vs a $139 upper and lower kit shipped) X2C is not happy that this part made it to a customer with our name on it and has taken every step to ensure this does not happen again. The production of these arms has since been moved under the control of X2C Motorsports LLC. We would like to assure customers of our high standard of quality and commitment to our customers.

Our in-house quality can be seen in the link below.

We appreciate all of the customers that have purchased components from us and would like to remind them these parts carry a lifetime warranty and our full support.

"Dangerous" overstates the issue, but it does beg the question regarding prior hyperbolic claims that they're "anti-bind."

Well thats great that you acknowledge the fact that ther was a problem and you have corrected it. Put yourself in my shoes though. I had to replace the arms more than once in a 3 month period and it also cost me a new aluminum driveshaft. Obviously I would not like others to go through the same. Main reason for the post was to make people feel more comfortable paying double for a simular part. Your service was good, your new boxer arms look like a much better design, hopefully people will have better luck with them.
