99-04 mustang gt wiring a new IAT connector from the MAF wires

Hey guys I was wondering if I’m able to tap into the MAF wires to make a new IAC connector cus unfortunately this 2001 mustang gt I bought didn’t come with one I look everywhere for it and nothing is there. So would it be ok to use the MAF wiring, jus go a little back and fuse up the IAT. Would appreciate any feedback🙏🏼 thanks guys

Pretty sure the maf on an 01 has the IAT sensor built into the maf.

And in this 01 there is no IAT connector to plug in my question is, shouldn’t my car already have one ?cus mine is nonexistent for some reason and what do you mean it’s already built into the maf?

Ford combined the MAF and IAT into a single harness connector at some point. How many wires does your MAF harness connector have?

^^^^This. The iat is in the maf. Your maf uses 4 wires, the iat uses 2. If you look at the maf plug it has 6 wires connected.
