Cecil opens up in 2-1/2 weeks, but I still need to button up a few things...aside from putting on a tire that'll hook...I don't think the Nittos will do it...

frame connectors welded in (got them, probably weld them in Saturday)
torque boxes welded up (Saturday)
clutch stop (made it today, just need to finish up the floor plate for it)
31 spline axles (here waiting)
31 spline carrier (should be here Thursday, just need to repack it and it's ready)
Shift Lite (just need to install it, but am undecided where)

I also converted my car to speed density last week, which it seems to love. ;)

If you are going radials the MT radials rock. If Not I used to run a set of 26x8.5's on a set of 10 holes. With my old stocker I could leave of the factory rev limiter.

I like Cecil, and it's a 45 minute ride for me, which is a major plus. I have a screwed up back and can't bear to sit for extended periods, so the 2+ hour drive to MIR would have me hurting for a week...:(

I doubt I'm brave enough to launch off of the factory limiter, although I hear the stockers like that best...hehe...At this point, I believe I'm goin with one of those two tires...I'd like to do it on radials, because I can't stand the way soft sidewall DOT tires wander on the highway...so I'm leaning heavily towards the ET Radials...:D

Hoosier's new drag radial FTW !

Well, for an update, I am pretty sure any traction issues are solved...

Found some used 275/50/15 ET Street Drag Radials to swap onto my 15x8 Draglites (replacing the Nittos), AND an extra pair of 15x8 Draglites with some used ET Streets already on them...

One step closer....:D

now axles. lol

i know the feeling, got my 31spline carrier sitting in my garage along with my 31spline mosers that arrived last night.

Mine too, except Summit neglected to mention that for $235 I don't get studs in the axles:bs: WTF ? Oh well, some ARP's will do I guess...I have an Explorer 31 spline unit too, where are you guys getting the repack kit?

I have a whole drawer full of used, but good, clutches...they're the same for 28 or 31 spline Traction Locs.

Gotcha, guess I'll pull some from the 28 spline unit since it works well

If it doesnt say the axles come with studs wouldn't you assume they dont , not that they do. Or just ask first.

I'm surprised people ares till getting Mosers as much bad press as they've had lately. My Strange axles were $220 with screw in 3" studs straight from Strange.

There you go. When I replace the clutches with new, in order to re-pack some extras in there, I simply use two of the best "old" ones...;)

did mine today, carrier and axles. packed the clutches TIGHT
bought my axles from tick performance in nc for $250 shipped with 3"studs.
heres somr pics of differences.
