this is the first time I hear about rear tracks. What is that? I thought the rear was going to be simple. Just get some 31 or 33 spline 5 lug axles and put on the 95 brakes. Am I wrong?what is the North Racecar bracket?
SN95 axles widens the rear track like about .75" on both sides since they are longer than fox axles. You'll have to change the spools out to match the 31 splines. The North Racecar bracket is a bracket they make that allows you to use disk brakes on fox length axles by relocating the mounting of the calipers inwards .75"

Ok well thanks for the info. Lots of stuff to think about here.

I have it narrowed down to the 18x9 Chrome Saleens and 17x9 black bullitts. Which i do all depends on my rim + tire budget. The Saleen setup would be considerably more than the bullitts.

Now, what i think would be the best thing to do is just bite the bullitt and get the North Cobra brackets and swap over to a stock Fox track rear. I already have the fox-lenght 5-lug axles so all i need are the NC brackets.

Now by going this route, i should be able to run either type of wheel without having to ditch my tailpipes correct? I don't mind running a small spacer either in case i need to push them out a tad. I will be upgrading to hardened studs as well.

Already done....but next step is aftermarket control arms to ditch them all together

BUY THE SALEENS!!!

Here are pics of 17x9" wheels with 24mm offset and SN95 axles. They fit the wheel wells perfectly.

The car is lowered with MM coil overs in front and H&R race springs in the rear. (although you can't really tell it's lowered in the pic from the angle)

I would buy the Saleens or Roush wheels. They look bada$$ especially if you have the brakes behind them, just makes them pop. I'm almost done putting together my setup (95 spindles, stock length 5 lug axles, SS brake lines, still need more things...) for the Saleens or any 9" rear rim for that matter. Only thing I'm worried about is the low profile tires.... Socal doesn't have the nicest roads..

Looks like I'm in the same boat as you for both the setup and the roads.

Yeah Boston has prob the worst roads in the country..but my car won't be a DD anyway so i don't mind

I will eventually when I swap to discs in the rear. I'm just doing the standard GT/V6 front setup and going with drums in the rear. Since the axles will be coming out and since I want to get gears, I will just have the rearend overhauled, so that's where most of my money will go to for the rearend next season. The following season I hope to upgrade to rear GT discs and Cobra fronts.

Well I'm one of the people who have used the SN-95 spindles (FROM A 95). And my front Saleen wheels stick out!!! I don't why at all because it seems to work for everyone else, but I swear to you these are 95 spindles. Could it be that I used powerslot rotors, or that I purchased new Ford Motorsports Front Conttrol Arms (From Maximum Motorsports). Any one that can let me know once and for all what the problem is. I will be greatly in debted to you for all time. PLEASE SOMEONE LET ME KNOW WHATS WRONG :crying: . I have been waiting to lower my car for 5 months now :curses:

Here are some pics:

That's odd... 18x9 all the way around.. The A-arms should be within in the same spec as factory as would the rotors. But I would give both places a call just to make sure. The rears look to stick in more than the front...just could be the angle...

Actually the rears fit perfect. I have ranger axles and drums. The fronts stick out too much. When I hit a nice sized dipp at high speed it chops the tire :curses: WTF. Sad to say I don't work on my own car and thats why I need to know whats wrong before I take it to the shop. Please anyone that has a solution feel free to let me know

Thanks
Gus

Did you visually confirm an F4 or F5 part number on the spindles???
