Cool car for sure, haven't seen too many of those. Good luck with the project!
Everyone wanted the tri five chevys, the fords were pretty unpopular with the Y block engines....
Friend had a 57 ford with a 312 we changed out for a Hi PO 289... It actually bolted right in with the same engine mounts....
I assume most of these were scrapped....

I was told some years ago they were undesirable why fix it up . Now I’m almost 60 and can see its potential. 347 under the hood nice rims and tires with some meat in the back , nice exhaust, shift on the floor .

Nice car! I'm looking at the picture envisioning a sweet gasser build.
The old Ford's often didn't have the classiest lines but many were aimed at the average family as dependable and utilitarian vehicles.

Check out this link for motor mounts https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/media/albums/289-302-351w-swap-mounts.41498/ READ all the text under the pictures, you will also have to swap over to the early 289-302 front sump oil panand timing cover. These mounts are over the counter at O'Reilly's and Pep Boys.
I founded the 1952-59 Ford Social Group on the H.A.M.B. back in 2009 we have a HUGE information file there that can answer any questions you have about this swap with pictures and sources for parts.
