For your 89? You can get the heavy duty Ford Racing clutch cable and fork upgrade, M-7553-A302 for about $50.

You might also look at the Maximum Motorsports replacement cable. I've used the Ford cable above for the last 3 cables, but next time I'll get the MM one to try it.

 

The last time I bought one, I got it from Summit. I didn't need the clutch fork so I sold it on Ebay and recouped half of what I spent on the kit.
