The competition ones are cnc ported and flow alot more. AFR has the flow numbers for both on their website for comparison.

 

All AFR heads are CNC ported.

 

They also have upgraded valve springs.

So you guys think they're worth the extra $400 or whatever it is? I'll be using them with a trickflow r intake and a comp cams 236 xfi. Thanks for the help.

 

I had them on my 306 turbo car and it ran strong. If your are running N/A Then you should check the flow numbers on your intake, if it doesn't flow enough you won't see much gain. $400 is a pretty good deal for heads that flow that much better IMO. I'm sure some smart ass will have something to say but I'm speaking from my experience.

For an extra $400 you are already at the price of a raised runner head which takes into consideration much more than just flow numbers.
