I need help choosing what valve springs to go with. Im running a 351w with canfield heafs tfs stg 2 cam and novi 2000 blower. Problem is i cant go past 7psi and i think its because of valve float. Im running the valve springs that had came with the heads don't know the specs, should i go with tfs stg 2 springs or something stiffer ill be running around 14-17lbs of boost.

stage 1 stage 2 awe baloney What you NEED to know is what size valve and what spring pressure there is at standing pressure and at valve max lift pressure. Usually you want 100 to 125 pressure standing pressure and with boost of 15 pounds on a 2 inch valve you want at least 30 pounds more pressure so you want at minimum 150 and 175 might be a better choice and open pressure with a roller cam is usually around 350,that will not change much with or without boost. Now it's time to go to the spring manufacturers and check the numbers
Goody Seven is right and remember with a 2 inch valve there is 3 square inches of area and with 15 lbs boost there is 45 pounds force trying to open that valve so that needs to have more force to keep it closed Check the companies,they can tell you coil bind and seat pressure and recommended lift usage
