I have a very light car - 2500 lbs and building a 342 stroker that should put down 375whp... I have 2 stock AOD's, one has a red convertor with a few numbers written on it, maybe rebuilt? It was in a friends Monster Miata and he said it shifted almost too hard, but thats just from it being in a light car making it feel that way.
Anyway, should i go and get a hardened input shaft? I read about diodes, bands, drums, and all kinds of AOD crap that can break, but with a very light car that doesnt hook up very well, and running all motor, should I do anything?
Right now i'm thinking hardened input shaft and thats it.
