Hey fellas I’m looking into changing my mufflers on my Superchage mustang. It has flowmaster 2 chambers on it. I was looking in to getting a straight through muffler like an magnaflow. I ran across flowmaster flow fx mufflers on summit racing site. Its a straight through muffler like magnaflow $60 cheaper . ? is it true I’m leaving hp on the table with the 2 chamber mufflers ? How much should I gain with changing the mufflers? Thanks fellas.

Paradox muffler!
Not very popular
kind of a boutique muffler but I don’t think there’s anything that sounds better than them

there a small design With a straight through glass pack section with the last part using a split pipe tuning fork device that takes away rasp.
Check out the website it seems like the higher you rev them the better they sound.
I sat down one night with my wife for about two hours watching YouTube videos and wanted her opinion, we both agreed
Paradox
magna flow
Super turbo by Dynomax (very quiet)
And also Borla pro xs

By far we both like the paradox sound moderate/quiet idle but when you get on them it sounds nasty but still refined and smooth.
They are definitely going on my car at some point.

my biggest suggestion though is to
Just sit down and watch lots of YouTube clips ?

Click on the link above and read the muffler shootout. It's an old article, but a good read. Some of those mufflers may not be around anymore, but most are and it should be a good guide for you. There's a few listed that make great power and are fairly quiet at idle and driving around under normal conditions. All the straight through mufflers are loud under WOT. I've read other muffler shootouts over the years where they did CFM testing. The Borla's, Magnaflow's and Hooker Maxflow's flowed almost double the CFM of the chambered Flowmasters. I can't speak for the newer Flowmasters, I'm sure they have designed them to flow better? They definitely sound great, but their marketing is better than their performance in my mind. I've tried 5 different mufflers from that list over the years, the Hooker Maxflow's are what I have currently, just wanted to try them. They sound good, no drone cruising, good CFM and HP numbers and they are fairly cheap. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Hooker maxflows here. Above stock idle sound, pretty loud under any load. Well constructed muffler, solid. Haven’t dynoed with them. Have xr1 prior, those did sound more aggressive, liked.

3" Jones MaxFlow mufflers here - not a restriction at 800+ hp (A-B-A track tested), quiet but noticeable, beautiful mufflers (stainless) and cheap! I'll never run anything else - I've run UltraFlos, Flowmasters and Walker Quiet Flows, among others. Magnflows are similar, but cheaper construction (yet they cost more), and the internals have crimps.

Dynomax Ultraflow. All about the straight through design.

No sounds clips here but Borla pro-xs on a H/C/I car sound good for me. I had a set of Spintechs that were nice but too much rasp for my liking.
