I run a Summit radiator, with 2- 14" perma cool fans, and an electric water pump. w/ a 180 degree stat, and the e-water pump, I can pretty much regualte the temps at either 170, or 180, or 190, without turning the fans on...
I know I don't run a trubo, but I didn't spend that much either...

Cant beat a Lincoln Mark VIII fan for $50 out of the junkyard.
Thin, fits perfect with a little trimming and blows like mo-fo

 

Thats what I have.. My temps are the same as before the turbo. cant beat that for cheap. I did have to upgrade the alt but found a 3G at the same junkyard for only $30

 

I have a Be-Cool Rad and a Dual Flex-a-lite fan.

 

What did your setup cost you? Looks good!

 

Parts store replacement fan for a '93 Mercury Sable w/3.8L engine (~$100) and a DC Control 60A fan controller.

Brian at DC Control is way backed up on putting out those fan controllers tho, so if you order one, you will be waiting 2+ months like I had to.

 

Ford Motorsport radiator and a mustang Flex-a-lite #175 fan.

 

I got a good deal on the radiator, But summit sells for about 500 and the fan is about 200 new. I had to get brackets welded on to the radiator for the fan to bolt up (just for a cleaner look)

 

i'm running the flex-a-lite extreme 5.0 fan with no issues at all.

 

i am running the same fan and never had a over heating problem (turbo'd automatic)

Works awesome. Note that you need to upgrade the gauge of your alt to solenoid wire if you go with a 3G alt.

Motorsport aluminum radiator with Black Magic Extreme electric fan. Worked good with my N/A HCI combo. Haven't ran it with the turbo long enough to get warm yet, so not sure how it'll do with the extra heat underhood. Should be fine though.

I'd like to get a DCC fan controller, but don't want to wait forever. Probably order it over the winter while the car's hibernating.

 

what is the Make model and year of the MarkIII fan? The guy at the junkyard looked at me stupid cause i didnt know?
