Ok guys, this season i plan on do some road racing and i am a little concern about my blown GT.

I know several people doing it without any problems. But.. it always worries me.

I have a stock SQ with and an AFM powerpipe, so, i see about 9psi at WOT. A day at the track means... 3 or 4 times running for 30 minutes each run .. and usually always at WOT.

Have anybody used this:

For now... i don't want a lot more HP.. (well... you know what i mean) basically want to be safe...

I have the Snow kit for about three weeks now. It does work and its one of the middle grade kits. I had to run 104 octane mixed with 93, now I don't. I don't have valve knock like I used too. It definately cools intake temps, probably by 60%.

The water/meth injection works great. A while ago I got the nerve to try pulleying down (3.60 to 3.33), and sure enough I got some detonation. I took the pulley off until I finished [ months later ] my homemade water/meth injection, and now am able to run the smaller pulley without detonation.

I hear either of those kits you mention are good. I've seen the snow kit, and heard great things about SMC.

I know the owner of the Snow kit. His name is Matt Snow. He uses it on his 93 Cobra that he autoX's. He is using a Procharger with a large shot of nitrous. BTW he is not using an intercooler with the Procharger, just his water/methanol kit and he is pushing 650RWHP/650RWTQ. He is a real cool guy. I would highly recommend his kit. There is another local guy here in CO who uses his kit. he is running a 393 with twin turbos and the boost cooler. He runs 8.2 letting off near the 1/8 to 1000' mark at 5800ft elevation. If he can use it effectively, I am sure you can too.

ok.. seems like my car is getting one then.. :) .. hopefully soon !!!

My concern was doing road racing .. and run out of w/m .. but the kit has a LED to know, if i am running out of it and you can have two reservoirs too... so, i can slow down to safe my engine... running too much timing and boost is not a good idea.

This is a good read about introducing water into an engine.

that's not going to be an issue considering the way the water will be delivered and considering water injection is not a new process by any means. As a matter of fact some Cosworth models come with water injection, and WWII fighter jets used water injection, and so on...
