so for me to get a rev limiter i would be better off just selling my vortech btm and buy a msd btm ... but will i still need either of these when i install my tweccer?
MSD manufactures the stand alone Vortech BTM. They also has a stand alone BTM with their own label on it. They are mechanically/electronically identical. Only MSD has a 6AL BTM.
so i should buy an 6al too? since my btm doesnt have the extra spark as of the msd one... i thought they were the same or i would have got the other one... will i need a btm and 6al with the tweecer or does it make it obsolete?
Vortech BTM - blue box - standalone boost retard, but can be wired in series with an MSD 6 series ignition box (6A, 6AL, 6T)
MSD BTM - red box - boost retard designed to work with an MSD 6 series ignition box (6A, 6AL, 6T)
MSD 6BTM - boost retard that essentially combines the 6AL with the Vortech red box BTM.
pretty much sounds like i need the 6al and kill 2 birds with one stone.. b/c the al has the limiter in it also correct?
