The 2828 also has no water crossover, so i think either requires AN fittings on the water side.

Check with Steve from Induction Solutions. If he can weld up killer nitrous fogger kits, I'm sure he can do injectors.
IS did the injector bungs on my chi 4.0, they did an excellent job, and the price was very fair. I supplied the fuel rails.

Whats the carb pad height on the chi 4.0 compared to the 2828?
The CHI is very tall. If i could do it all over i would have went with the 2828. The CHI was a hassle to ship, took like 3 or 4 months to get it, and the shipping cost was nuts. I could measure from the valley plate to the top of the carb pad, if you do a search on yellowbullet there are guys that have the numbers. The intake was pretty tall. With a 11" dia 3.5" tall filter, a 5.5" cervini hood still wouldnt clear the lid. I ended up cutting a hole in my 3.5" hood, but i think this winter i am going to mill the intake down and try to get the filter under the hood. The only reason i cut the hood was because that was all that was holding me back from dragweek and i didnt want to take the intake off days before leaving for the event.

I don't think I've ever seen one used in a EFI setup, then again I've never searched for any pics.

You might want to try looking around on YB, you may have better luck over there.

I agree, you may find more info on the bullet pertaining to you combo. steve @ induction solutions, or Monte Smith may be another route considering you have a NOS combo. I do have to ask though, why only 11:1 compression?

also, if you have a bit of coin to top off that engine look into John Marcella intakes. He can make anything you want from scratch, which will likely give you the most optimal setup.

Thanks for the suggestion to call steve Great guy very helpfull !!
The AN issues are going to have to be addressed. We went with 11:1 pump gas on 200 jet n2o 11:1 Is about the limmit to run on the pump around here without utilizing E85. The chi is a dam skyscraper!!

Some mocking up tonight. is the misalignment typical of this casting or did I just get a bad one? who are best guys around to send it to be ported? It will be ported matched to the heads then last converted EFI. Hoping it screams.

I wouldn't say you got a bad one. it looks more like your heads need to be port matched to your intake since the ports are the larger of the two. I figured the 11:1 was for pump gas, just didn't think a well built motor like that would see much pump gas. good luck with your combo.

do you work on it while you eat dinner or just admire it? lol. sorry I had to, the first pic looks like its sitting in a kitchen :salute:

nice setup doc thanks for the pic addressing the coolant situation. do you have any closer pics of the intake setup?

that is in the kitchen LOL better lightning for pics ;) thats my story anyhow

im not sure if i should send it back in hopes of getting a better 2828 or start welding the thing up the runners and trying to move things to where they need to be...???

is the chi 4.0 just as bad is this really just how it is???
if i could shift things one way or the other then i could work with it but its off in both directions

Actually... I do have pics in the kitchen...

Dont send it back, at this level they all need a ton of work. I spent money having the CHI port matched, and we still had to mill it a little bit more to make it sit right once the gasket was put in place. Word of advice on the intake gasket, make a paper template and send it to cometic and get a custom gasket made. They are stupid cheap and you will never get a better gasket. The CHI sucks for hood clearance, i am going to have mine milled down about an inch so i can get an air filter back under the hood. I have a hole in a 3.5" hood right now.

That water crossover is designed for a cleveland head, to make it work you would need a 90° NPT fitting with the hose barb on the other side which are not possible to use on these intake because they cannot be tightened down without the hose barb crashing into the intake runner. I tried that option and it didnt work.
