Using bigger turbo (Turbonetics) with on3 kit fox body

Hey guys. I have a 70mm on3 kit right now on my car and I really like the turbo. It is a .68 AR on the exhaust so it spools super fast with the 3.73 gears.

I bought a 72mm Turbonetics turbo and look at how much larger it is than the on3 70mm. I am afraid it is going to hit my alternator. I am not sure what to do because the alt. has a bracket that you cannot move.

That being said, I have seen turbonetics turbos this size on these cars before. I dont think my 3g alt. is any bigger than any other one. It does have some room beside the turbo but it has to be close with this thing. Let me know what you guys think, thanks.

I know there's a company that makes the bracket for the alternator to run next to the water pump on that side. That should give you plenty of room. Just google foxbody alternator relocation. You'll find something.

The alt is already pressing against a hose from the water pump. I still have heat and AC so there is not a lot of room in there. If I move the ALT down it will be hitting the intercooler pipe running to the intercooler.

Does anyone have a picture of a bigger turbo being used on an on3 kit? This is just a 72mm and I am pretty sure people have used 76mm turbonetics ones just cant find the pics. Thanks

I just can't believe this 72 is so much bigger lol. I want to pull the 70 off and put this on there but hate to do it if its not really going to work. I am happy with the car now and would like to avoid any cutting or welding. Thanks for the help guys.

PS- Any pics would be great if anyone has a turbonetics turbo!

the fox kits must be different..I was able to fit both a precision and a comp 76 on my 95 before swapping to custom headers
