So I am at the point where I need a to rebuild my T-45 and was wondering if anyone here knows of a good shop in San Diego (or SOCAL). I would go for a T-3650 but:
1. They cost 950 or more..
2. Don't know which ones have had the "fix"
3. Don't know how bad they have been run...

I have a spare T-45 that I would rebuild...
If you are wondering, I need a rebuild due to bad sychros (can't get into 1st or reverse sometimes, grinds into 2nd and 4th when I get one it....).

I would try to do this but:
1. Don't have the tools required (press, etc) only Craftsman Mechanics set (260 pcs or so) and would need to get more.
2. Don't have a garage to work in:crying:
I rebuilt my t-5 in my living room with a handfull of tools. The only one I had to go out and buy was a good set of snap ring pliers. Any decent machine shop should be able to do the press work you need for next to nothing.

Once you see the actual work involved in rebuilding the tranny…compared to what they charge for a rebuild, you'll want to puke!
