BTW -
I have been searching old threads endlessly to find somebody with a similar problem and everybody seems to have a problem with their clutch cable or the throwout bearing. The symptons of mine do not fit either of these because my noise happens all the time. It doesn't matter if your in gear or coasting out of gear.
The only thing I can say for sure is that its affected by bumps which causes it to make a faint squeaky rattle from underneath the shifter somewhere. The noises are more obvious the cooler/darker it is. At night I can even hear the beginning of a squeak when I fire up the engine.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, even if it is just 'I have no clue whats fubared'. Please help me before I shell out a large check for Ford to start taking stuff apart. :livid:
