Is it the width of the cap or the height that prevents a standard TFI distributor from being used on the 5.8 Hi Ram with a side entry? I saw a guy that makes an adapter to convert the TFI to a small cap. That would address any width clearance issues but not necessarily the height. What about running an MSD "Crab" cap on the adapter. Then the wires would plug in from the side instead of the top.
