Yeah, I noticed that. I'm willing to bet that it is a Mallory box rebadged..... Call thier tech line; I'm sure they will tell you who makes it for them IMHO.....

Yes you are correct, it is the same unit. The electronics are built on the same line and then put into Summits black housing. My brother works for Mallory and I asked him the same thing when I saw them. I have one on my car and I have had zero problems with it, very simple to install also.

 

wut kind of rev limiter does this have? is it smooth like the MSD's or is it the stutter type?

 

i absultly love my 685 hyfire box..with all digital controls..its like a easy to use with more options that a MSD digital 6 for $30 less..no brainer

 

What coils are you guys using with the 685 box? I haven't had any luck with mallorys line of ignition coil. allways end up getting a missfire above 6k rpm.

 

tech guy at summit told me thet are made by msd ..i have one on my blown 347 but cant give any feedback on it yet
