Hey guys, my fuel pump is getting very loud so i think its on its last leg. I wanna replace it before it leaves me stranded. The car is basically stock with a e-cam but i am planning on installingthe trickflow kit in 6 months to a year so i wanna upgrade to the 225 lph fuel pump. Will this be okay on a basically stock set up or do i need a adjustible fuel pressure regulator. i heard that the computer controls this so it wont matter but im not sure. Please let me know.

I'm assuming you mean the 255lph pump as I've never heard of a 225lph pump...

I personally would go with a 190lph Walbro pump, that should be more than enough to satisfy the fuel demands of the trickflow kit. A 255lph is a bit overkill. In fact I'd be more concerned with having the proper injectors prior to installing that kit.

yes you will be fine. if i could hit in the head with a hammer every person who says that a 255fp is too much and it heats the fuel and your regualtor cant return it all i would have a sore wrist

me and every other turbo 2.3 guy runs a 255HP (walbro 340) fuel pump. its bigger than the regualr 255 and think about how little fuel a 2.3 uses at no throttle just going down the highway and we never have any of these internet problems
