Eversince I installed my Y2k Cobra R's on Saturday (18x9.5 on all corners riding on Kumho Ecsta 712's 275/35/18) I've noticed that from about 40-50mph there is a slight vibration on the steering wheel and a very soft vibration while on the highway, 70mph. Do you guys think the wheels need to be re-balanced? When my brother got them about a year ago Tirerack balanced them, do you guys think they could have unbalanced in the 6 months that they were stored in the garage?

I guess anything is possible. That would be the first thing I would look at. From what i've heard though, Kumho tires aren't the best.

My buddy was telling me the other day about a different balancing done between the rim and the tire. The tire will not be PERFECTLY round. It'll have a high spot on it just like everything else that gets molded. The same with rims. This balancing lines up the heavy spots between the rim and tire...

Just thought I would throw that in there...
