I have a 1993 MUSTANG with the hypereutic pistons and was wondering what I can spray safely with my NX kit without melting my pistons? I will be running race fuel just in case and a colder plug.

Thats what I thought but the local guys where I'm at think I will burn a hole through a piston. I was gonna run the race fuel just as a preventitive measure.

I have a 93 GT vert. I run a 100 wet shot, timing dropped back to 10* and no probs. The hyper pistons aren't the horrible pieces of junk that some people think that they are. If you try to run it right to the ragged edge then yeah you might have some probs. But if you have a conservative tune and don't try to squeeze every ounce of power out of it you'll be fine.

My first pass with my 100 shot I got lined up next to a Camaro SS. I was a little slow coming off the line but when she hit 3k I drove it right around him. You should have seen the look on his face when we got back to the staging lanes. He lost to a pretty much full weight AOD GT vert. He wasn't really pleased but that is part of the fun.

I think that you would be ok. I would start out at 100 and make some passes. Check your plugs and make sure that there is no detonation. When you pull a plug do it on the return road. Don't drive the car back to the pits. Look for flecks of silver on the plug and porcelian (sp). If you see silver flexs then you are having some detonation.

After you make sure all is good on a 100 I would go up to a 150. Drop your timing back down 2 more degrees and put a set of colder plugs in. After your first pass go ahead and check some plugs again and see how it looks.
