SN95 rear brakes on Foxbody

I have an opportunity to buy a complete 8.8 rear axle from a 1995 Mustang that has all the disk brake components attached. I don't need the rear axle, but I would like to get the brake parts, and it's cheap enough to buy it all and still be ahead money wise.

Can SN95 rear brake parts be installed on an 8.8 with Fox length axles? I understand the mounting bracket may need to be modified. Or maybe they can be bought?

Are there SN brake calipers the same as the 93 Cobra stuff? Will they fit inside 15 inch Drag Comp wheels?

The car is still 4 lug, and will stay that way. Switching to 5 lug is not an option. Does anyone sell rotors that are compatible? Could I drill the rotors to be 4 lug like LMR and Foxbody Brakes?

I realize the brake conversions have been discussed ad nauseum, but I can't seem to find answers to all of my questions.

How would it be cheaper? New wheels again (I just got them), 5 lug conversion on the front, I already have a built 4 lug axle assembly.

I also never stated that there was a budget. I saw a complete axle assembly with brakes from a 1995 Mustang for $100, and was wondering if it could work with possibly different brackets.

I realize I also need a new master cylinder, booster, and proportioning valve, and its been converted from a 3 line brake system to 2 because it has a Hurst line lock.

I mean it sounds like you are trying to convince yourself into this? you have a built 4 lug axle assembly. ok. leave the rest and swap the axles and sell the 4 lug axles to recoup some money? new wheels? buy 5 lug wheels, swap tires, resell 4 lug wheels in the 5 lug boxes to save on shipping materials?

then swap all the 5 lug brake stuff over, sell the axle housing and the diff and the gears to recoup money?

but you said you apparently dont care about budget yet you are hammering on you JUST buying the rear wheels.

I'm confused.

For 93 cobra 4-lug stuff, you can just buy the offset caliper brackets and use your existing axles. You would need spacer rings to mount up the 93 cobra rotors, and would need to pick up the 93 cobra specific calipers and brake lines.

That's in addition to the standard MC/Booster swap and adj. prop valve

Sorry for some reason your post sounded like a budget build which I don’t do anymore. Everyone has the money to do it right the first time.

turbo coup calipers have been gone for a long time. Everything is sn95 now.

you might and this is a big might, be able to contact an axle manufacturer to make you a set of on off axles.

4 lug, sn95 hub centric. Get the brackets from north race cars. Rich is awesome

Unless you need this because you're doing track stuff. Just stick to drums.

for sn caliper and rotor axle length is different I started down your path and come to the conclusion to just switch to five lug I dont beleve 95 axles will work
