I'm forever changing wheels and tires, I must have had 25 sets on this coupe over the years.

10 holes, Pony's, Cobra R58s, Bullits, Moda R6 to name a few.

Scored a Craigslist find on a set of Enkie RPF1s, in silver, 18's:

Specs are
Front 18x8 35mm offset, 245/40 tire
Rear 18x9.5 45mm offset, 275/35 tire

Talk about light, wow, 18 lbs per wheel!

Whatcha think about the look?

I think I saw your ad for the Moda's on CL today... I'd be interested to see if they will fit on my 92 coupe with the IRS in the rear based on the offset you have on the ad. I'm in Little Elm if you'd be interested in letting me try them on before I decide.

Also, your coupe looks bad ass man.

Thanks!

Yes, that's the ad. I have 3 sets and will probably just sell one set.
All the sets are 18x8 front and 18x9 rear. Was thinking of having one of the sets refinished.

1. chrome set w/ tires
2. original powder coated hypersilver set w/ really worn out tires
3. set that I had re powdercoated in the OE hypersilver, as new, never had tires since refinishing

Come by and try em on. May need to bring some small lugs as in 3/4" socket sized.

It was nice to meet you today Andrew and thanks for the deal on the Moda's. Before I put them on I've decided to plasti-dip them before I put in all the effort to polish the chrome back out if I don't like the plasti-dip and I'm only out like $25 so it's not a big deal. I'll post up pics tonight or tomorrow after I get them finished up and installed.

And your coupe is sooo nice man, one day mine will hopefully be half that nice.

Hey great to meet you too, and glad the wheels went to a great Coupe project. I can tell you have a passion for the cars and the IRS project was very impressive. Thanks for the compliments, take lots of pics with your kids and cars, as you can see my daughter was in this one with the chrome Modas back 4 yrs ago..

The RPF1s look great. Of course, I'm a bit biased, as I have them, too. :) I don't think I've seen the 18x8s before - you're right, they've got a different look to the face.

Any chance you've got an actual powdercoat brand name and color name or code from when you had the Modas powdercoated hypersilver? I have some hypersilver Linea Corses for my CTS-V that could use a re-coat (thanks to me curbing the hell out of one ). LC's "hypersilver" may not be the same as Moda's "hypersilver", but the ones in your pic look damn good.

Thanks! I actually have not posted any pics of the refinished Moda's. They have been in storage in the attic for several years and not been mounted with any tires yet. I do not have a code. I took them to Juan at Star Tire in Dallas, they have a wheel repair service and did all four, after doing only 2 and not matching exactly... The sheen is slightly more creamy silvery than OE Moda, which to me has a slight goldish sheen if you can imagine silver in that way.

Note that the pics above in this thread are all Moda's in chrome finish.

I will attach here the OE Moda's in their hypersilver powdercoat. It's a great looking finish.

CTS-V?? I have a white 2012 CTS-V SportWagon, lol.

So I spent all afternoon getting the wheels plasti-dipped and when I went to install them my socket tore off the plasti-dip as the bore on there is only just bigger than the lug nuts. Sooooo... I polished the chrome back to life with some brasso and they look almost new. I've got some more polishing to do, but they look pretty good as is.

As for the fit....... it's PERFECT front and rear. No rubbing, at all (I did hammer in that fender on that passenger side) and the fronts are spot on too. It's amazing the handling difference too. I thought I just had a really REALLY bad spring mismatch (and I do) and that was leading to the rough ride I had but it turns out it was my old wheels/tires. Not that there's anything wrong with the old ones, I just had to run the larger ones up front to avoid rubbing in the rear and now it's a night and day better ride. Now I just have to figure out where that squeak is coming from in the rear end (pretty sure it's the exhaust rubbing something) and I'll be a happy camper for a while.

I liked the look of the Enkei RPF1's a few years back and ordered a set that took almost 6 months to come in. Still haven't got a chance to put them on the car as it is still not finished but can't wait to see them on the car. 44lb rears and 42.6lb front with the rubber on them.

Thanks! Even having had such a variety of wheels on the car over the past 25 years... I'm really excited seeing these RPF1s on there.
