Well.. it's a nice idea and all but from what I've seen....it usually doesn't work out and goes like this:
1. Person A comes up with a cool idea, doesn't have the resources to mass produce, creates a few, then offers it up for a "reasonable" price for the low volumes they can produce. They run around like crazy trying to take care of the community overall trying to be a "good" citizen to their fellow mustangers.
2. Company B sees the cool idea. There are no patents on anything...so the Company copies or comes up with a similar product, gets it made overseas for dirt cheap because they have the buying power to buy in bulk, then undercuts the original Person A's pricing and maximizing their profit. Person A typically goes through a lot of effort for nothing in the end though they are truly appreciated by us in the mustang community.
Unfortunately, Hydroboost limits folks from wanting to go with manual steering because they'd have to convert their brake system as well. If we didn't have hydroboost on our cars, MANY of us would rip out the power steering and convert to manual steering in a heartbeat. It'd be nice to have something like a Flaming River rack.
Oh..and you already posted a pic of the proposed product (Very nice welding by the way), so some Company B ... whoever they may be...is probably already looking.
