Poly vs. Solid bushings, Real world feedback please

Got double adjustable UPR uppers with solid bushings and im not sure of my lowers. And I really hate the chattering noise I get right now. I plan on sound deadening the car pretty well, but im afraid I will still hate my solid bushing sounds.

im at that point in my build where im about to do the suspension how I want it to be done. The inital plan was for Team Z Strip series uppers and double adjustable lowers with sway bar mounts and spring perches. Will be running a standard V8 spring with about 3/4 of a coil cut.

Im HIGHLY debating on going with a set of BMR double adjustable uppers and standard lowers with poly bushings all around.

But im curious as to real world feedback on how much this will hurt my short times at the track. Right now with the 308 and the T5 I have cut some 1.75's, but with the auto tranny swap and new suspension I have in mind I want to see 1.45's or better on a consistent basis.

Future hold a 408w with right around the 425-450rwhp mark without the 150 shot I plan on hitting it with...

Thanks for the input RoysGray88

I think im going to go with poly bushings...As much as I want to have an all out performing drag car at the track, I think as much time as it will see on the street the poly's will be a better choice. Plus with the Poly's the wife will enjoy riding in the car with me more often than not.

Just curious, anyone care to share some short times with there poly bushing cars?

Im debating on going with a nice set of double adjustable uppers, with standard lowers, and throw on a TeamZ Anti-roll bar. This way I can hook up the end links at the track and get great performance out of a quiet suspension.

No matter what, the Team Z fron suspension is going on the car. No way around this...Tubular K, 1" shorter A arms, CC plates, Strange 10 way coilovers.

I had stock 8.8 housing bushings but HPM uppers and stock lowers to a best of a 1.38 short a few years back. Not safe but those lowers worked. The engineers would be shocked if we were to turn back time and show them how well (although very deflective) their design worked some 20+ years into the future huh. LOL

Sounds like a great plan wicked03. Best of both worlds IMO. You probably already know this but make sure you drop a plumb bob on both sides and adjust your uppers to get the housing centered up while you work towards -1ish* pinion angle. I unhook and hang one end link of my ARB to a little bungy cord up and away from everything when I drive. Once you get it all buttoned up you'll enjoy it more than I do mine that's for sure.

BMR rear control arms for this guy is quite possibly what is going to happen...

I will worry about the ARB at a later date when the car actually starts being dialed in. I will also be pulling the rear end out of the car eventually to get 9" ends installed, new axles, new diff., and a new girdle that will handle my new found POWA!

No spray. Going to try and get it to 60' a little better. Going to put screws in the wheels, solid housing bushings for sure. Wanting to do a 10pt cage, would like to do a A5 or tko 500... I will for sure have to replace the clutch disc that I have now as the one I have in there now has seen better days lol

I go back and forth everyday...I go from about to order BMR, to re-thinking and then wanting to order Team Z...

One part of me says to myself, since the car is not a daily driver, its mainly a fun car that I want to drive on the street ALOT but I also want to to reign all at the track. Which means cutting great 60' times...

Really curious on your feedback on your install. I'm in the same situation. Making about 575RWHP and addressing rear suspension. Dont think polys are going to do it for me (but wish they would)

No experience as far as the noise goes, but I can tell you I had factory style rubber bushings in my 9" when I first got my coupe. Everything seemed fine when running it on motor up to about 108 or so mph in the 1/8. When I sprayed it, the rear of the car was doing a shimmy on the top end of the track at 117 mph. The rear was shakin like a belly dancer LOL. I switched to solid bushings and no more shake, car runs straight and smooth. I can't hear any noise back there over my exhaust ha ha.
