OTS cams 410W

I know the answer is custom grind which I'll prolly order from Ed if he's not to many months behind BUT just for the sake of talking....what do yall think would be a great OTS cam for a 410w? AFR 185 pedestal mount heads with the 8019 spring upgrade, 10.4 compression, vic Jr and 750 carb....it had a Comp XE282 in it and made great power. Ive heard maybe the TF stage 4 is better or maybe another

CamQuest likes the below. They also show the XE282HR as a "great fit". All the cams make 515-525HP, torque peak moves and average power varies based on lobe separation ranging from 110-114. I manually added the TFS cams to their database. The one shown is the Stage 3.

Im gonna get Ed to grind me one, I was just curious on people's opinions because if he's a few months out then I may buy a OTS cam just until his arrives. I have the Cam Quest but did not know you could manually make a cam. I know you can manually enter head flow numbers and all that but not cams

It's a PIA; you have to find the correct text file, then copy and paste a similar cam, then edit the data. I find it's fun to get a quick ballpark idea versus using a more complex simulator. Plus it annoys certain people, which is always a plus.

TFS4 - 522HP@6500, 167 avg HP
493FT-LB@4500, 195 avg TQ

XE282 - 515HP@6000, 157 avg HP
522FT-LB@4500, 204 avg TQ

Obviously take the numbers with a grain of salt, GIGO and all.

Note the TFS cams have slow ramps compared to XE cam. I think Ed prefers ramps somewhere in-between as a good compromise.

Man I want that program to play with!!! Looks like it’s not downloadable. I’d love to stick my custom’s data in it.

"If" you like the XFI 236-14 grind, as mentioned, I have it in stock... In billet steel, not SADI.

Also have a few SADI custom camshafts in stock that you may like. These are new and are from the back-orders in February that finally came in.

On another note, customs are running seven to ten business days from time of order to shipment from the manufacturer.
