Well I gave up on the mach 460 factory decks and put in a pioneer 6400, well I got the plug that plug into the plugs that go into the factory plugs. I ran all wire correctly, and I hooked up the remote amp wire and everything, well my tweeters come in GREAT in the front and the back, but I have NO door speakers or rear deck speakers making any sound. kinda wierd I thought. I did a search and came up with 33 pages of nothing. I have a 94gt if that helps...thanks guys

All the Mach460 components run off the same fuse (#4, engine bay fuse box, 25A), so if your tweeters are working, it's not a blown fuse.

Your missing fuse and relay is normal.

I have an EVTM for '95's; I can tell you what color wires are what on the harness from your original head unit or CD player, if you'd like, assuming the colors didn't change between '94 and '95.

So what do you mean with the evtm? what is that? I seams like my car just doesnt want me to have a stereo in it. Ever thing that could go wrong has gone wrong. One thing I WILL NOT DO is rewire the speakers. aint happening! Im sure it is just something simple, like a plug or something... But the rear amps I saw are powered seperately from the rest of the stereo. the tweets are powered from the front amp, witch gets powers from the deck and the harness.
Now underneith the rear deck lid, that plug that is right in the middle that is square and has four wires, is that suppose to have power? I checked it for ****s and came up with nothing. Ive checked all fuses also and they seam ok. are there any plugs that could have come undone and me not even know it?

EVTM = Electrical & Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual (Ford factory manual).

According to the book, all three amps are powered through fuse #4 (engine fuse box) and the head unit and CD run off of fuse #8 and fuse #11 (these are both in the underdash fuse box). If the book is right, and if you have no power to the rear amps, then you also have no power to the front amp which means the speakers you are hearing are being driven by your Pioneer's internal amp.

You're sure fuse #4 under the hood is okay?

What harness adaptor did you use? Scosche?

I got it from car toys, Im not too sure. But I will admit that the guy that sold it to me was a choad, he was dumber than any box of **** you guys have ever seen, seriously, I think his only qualification for his job was breathing. So this may be the issue? Now there is a cicut city here, does anybody have a part number I can reference with to get the correct stuff? So riff, is there a right and wrong plug application.? My plug did come with instructions that told me directions to use if there was
-aftermarket deck with stock amps/stock speaker
-stock deck after market amps/speaker
and told me how to wire each of them. It would make sense that the sound I hear is comeing from the deck because it sounds pretty good. I just pulled out the fuse from under the hood while the stereo was on, and the sound shut off, and when I plugged it back in, it came right back on...Also with the tweets, I noticed that the fronts are A LOT louder than the rears.

The amp at the front of the car, the one behind the center console, mounted under the head unit & CD player only powers the front tweeters (in the upper door pods) and the rear tweeters (in the rear deck "box").

As for the amps that are mounted under the rear deck "box" - one of those powers the front "woofers" (lower speakers in front doors) and the other amp powers the rear woofers (in the box).

The way those amps were wired was the most asinine wiring design I have ever seen...

The best thing you can do is to trace the wires coming in from the doors (both tweeter and woofer) in through the driver's side of the body. Once you have located those wires, you can start rewiring your speakers.

I have yet to come across an "easy" way of running an entire aftermarket stereo system, including all aftermarket components without having to rewire the damn system due to the retarded stereo system Engineers who came up with that ****ty MACH setup...

The best thing they COULD have done and SHOULD have done is run all of the wires from the head unit/CD player to the REAR of the vehicle, use one single LARGE amp and branch all of the speaker/turn on/output leads from that amp, up to all of the speakers & headunits. This is exactly how BMW set their stereo systems up. This way, if you want to remove their stock compoents and add your own, all you do is look at the wiring diagram, pull the plugs off their factory amp and run those wires directly into any amp/crossover set uup you wish...

Let's try this: there should be two plugs on each of the amps in the trunk. One of the two plugs has three yellow wires. These are your +12 volts supply. See if they are hot.

ok I have two blown amps, I finally got a hold of my buddy who has mach 460 and I took my amps and put them in his car and they do not work. So I am going to take my amps to an electronics place of here and have them redone but a little better this time. My bother had his done and it cost him 60 bucks for two amps and after that they kicked butt until one of his subs went bad and it took out his amp...I ll keep you all informed on how they turn out. On both amps it was the same piece that went out on both of them...

This "retarded" comment is extremely offensive...

... to the mentally handicapped people. They would not ever have come up with a wire-routing as insane as the Mach 460's.
