Question about using Bilstein HD front struts on a Fox Body. The struts are designed for 87 - 2004 mustangs.

The lower bolt hole on the mounting ear attachment to the spindle is bigger than the top hole.

This allows for some movement / slop when the old bolt is being reused.

How do people align the strut before tightening the lower bolts? Is it where ever it ends up and torque it?

Should I use a different bolt on the bottom hole?

I am also installing MM caster camber plates at the same time.

Thanks!

Push the top of the spindle in to take out the slack and tighten the bolts. I did mine that was and it aligned fine. I'm also running MM plates.

ditto, I pushed mine in I believe also and just adjusted my plates as needed.
