You running 6000 rpm alot, for long periods? Frankly, I've used the stock dizzy on blower, nitrous and turbo apps without difficulty, with 6000 rpm as max, and only briefly. If you are into an application that needs sustained high rpm, it's probably worth it to upgrade the distributor to reduce spark scatter but otherwise, money is best spent elsewhere, imho.

The MSD has the same set up as a stock

The problem is MSD dosn't use FORD electronics and this makes them more prone to problems than the stock ones.

With a AEM you can't hardley get the car to run with a MSD put a junk yard stocker in it and perfect.

The only differnce with a MSD is the housing looks nice

Save your money.

I have spun stock TFI distributors over 7000 many times without problems. The secret is having a good spark amplifier and having good wires.
The MSD's are more prone to failure right out of the box. After double checking many of them, they have shaft run out problems allowing the reluctor ring contact the pick up.

Your car will be faster with the MSD because your wallet will be lighter.
